PlantSITES Websites

A hosted website for your nursery or landscaping business on a plantsites.com subdomain, managed from your PlantANT account.

PlantSITES builds and hosts your website for you, so there is nothing to install or maintain. You choose a subdomain, pay a one-time setup fee plus a monthly hosting fee, and then edit the live site from the PlantSITES menu.

Nursery and supplier sites are built around your inventory. Visitors can browse your photo gallery, check your availability list, and send you orders.

Landscaper sites are built to show off your work. Visitors can browse projects you have completed, see the services you offer, and contact you.

Your PlantANT account decides which site you start with. Nursery and supplier accounts get a nursery site. User, Pro, and Corporate accounts get a landscaper site.

Pricing

There is a one-time setup fee to go live, then a monthly hosting fee while the website remains active.

$1,000one-time
Enabling your website reserves your subdomain and creates a $1,000 setup invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your website goes live and the editor becomes available.
$30/mo
After the setup fee is paid, a $30 per month hosting fee is billed to keep your website online.

Need more than 8 pages or a one-of-a-kind design? Fully custom websites start at $3,500, with the same $30/month hosting and no page limit. Request a quote on the About PlantSITES page.

How to get started

Only the account owner can enable the website and pay the setup invoice.

  1. Log in to PlantANT

PlantSITES are set up from your PlantANT account. Log in, or register if you do not have an account yet.

  2. Open Website from the PlantSITES menu

Click PlantSITES in the main menu, then click Website. You can also click Claim your Domain on the About PlantSITES page.

  3. Choose a title and subdomain

Enter a website title (shown in the browser tab and site header) and a subdomain using lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. Minimum 3 characters. Example: yourbusiness.plantsites.com.

  4. Enable and pay the setup invoice

Click Enable website. Your subdomain is reserved immediately and an invoice is generated. The site does not go live until that invoice is paid.

Until the invoice is paid, the website editor is not available and the public subdomain will not show your live site.

After your site is live

When payment is complete, PlantSITES → Website opens your website dashboard. From there you can:

Open the live editor Manage pages Review submissions Edit site settings Set spam protection

Site settings let you change the website title and subdomain after the site is live.

Once your site is live, a detailed website editor guide is available from your website dashboard.

Viewing your contact form submissions

Everything visitors send through the forms on your site is saved in Website Contacts in your PlantANT account. To open it, click PlantSITES in the main menu, then click Website Contacts. The link appears once your site is active.

The number next to the link, for example Website Contacts (3), is how many new submissions you have not opened yet.

What you will find there

Type Where it comes from
Contact message The contact form on your Contact page
Availability order Nursery sites The Simple Order Form on your availability list, including the plants, sizes, quantities, and order total
Price request Nursery sites Visitors asking for the password to see prices on a password-protected availability list

Working with submissions

  • New submissions are marked New. Click one to see the full details, which also marks it as read.
  • Use the All, Contact, Orders, and Price requests filters to show one type at a time.
  • Click the sender's email address in the details to reply.
  • Click Print in the details window to print a submission.
  • Click Mark all read to clear the new count in one step.
On nursery sites, availability orders are also emailed to the company email address. Contact messages and price requests are only saved in Website Contacts, so check it regularly.

Contact form spam protection

Cloudflare Turnstile keys protect your contact form and availability order forms. Create a widget at dash.cloudflare.com, add your plantsites.com domain, then save the site key and secret key in the website dashboard.

Until Turnstile is configured, contact and order forms stay hidden on your public site so they cannot be spammed.

Team access for nursery accounts

After your website is active, you can let linked employees manage it. Open My Account → Manage Users and grant Website management.

Who What they can do
Account owner Enable the website, pay the setup invoice, and use the full editor and site settings
Linked user with Website management Edit pages, use the live editor, review submissions, configure Turnstile, and change title or subdomain
Linked user without Website management No access to the website dashboard or editor

Website management is free

Granting Website management does not add a billable user seat. Only Plant Searching access counts as a paid user.
